Critter Conga — Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
TL;DR
Critter Conga is a single-player game for all ages. Anthony Compofelice (the developer) does not operate a server and does not collect any personal information directly. Your game progress lives only on your device. Critter Conga is available on iPhone and Android. A few third-party services are involved — Google AdMob (ads) on both, Apple (App Store purchases) on iPhone, and Google Play (purchases and, if you use it, Play Games) on Android — each governed by their own privacy policies linked below. On iPhone the app never asks to track you and never uses the advertising identifier.
What the developer collects
Nothing. There is no analytics SDK, no telemetry, and no crash reporter operated by the developer. The developer cannot see who is playing, what they purchase, how often they play, or anything else.
Your game progress
Critter Conga saves your game state (current level, stars, coins, gems, streak, streak freezes, critters in your album, purchases unlocked, and settings) on your device only. Deleting the app deletes this data. You can also erase your progress at any time in Settings → Reset progress. The developer cannot see or recover it.
The age question
On first launch the app asks what year you were born. The year is used once, on your device, to place you in an age group (under 13, 13–17, or adult). Only the age group is saved, and only on your device. The birth year itself is never stored or sent anywhere.
The age group is used to:
- mark ad requests from players under 13 as child-directed, and
- require a grown-up check before purchases or links that leave the app for players under 13.
Advertising — Google AdMob
Unless you purchase Remove Ads or the Parade Pass, Critter Conga shows a banner on the home screen and occasional ads between levels, served by Google AdMob. Optional reward videos (for a continue or double coins) are always your choice. Ads never appear while you are playing a level.
- iPhone: no tracking. The app does not show Apple’s “Allow Tracking” prompt and does not access the device advertising identifier (IDFA). Ads are therefore not personalized using cross-app tracking.
- Android: advertising ID. On Android, the AdMob SDK may read the Android advertising ID to serve and measure ads, except for players under 13, whose requests are child-directed. You can reset or delete the advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization, in your device’s Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- What Google may collect to deliver and measure ads: an app-specific device identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, ad interactions, and crash and performance data.
- Players under 13. Ad requests are tagged as child-directed and limited to content rated for general audiences, in line with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- EEA, UK and Switzerland. You are asked for consent through Google’s consent form before ads load, and you can change your choice any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices.

Purchases — Apple App Store and Google Play
In-app purchases (Remove Ads, Starter Pack, gem packs, holiday event passes, and the Parade Pass subscription) are processed by Apple’s StoreKit and the App Store on iPhone, and by Google Play Billing on Android. The developer never sees your payment information. The store shares only a purchase record with the app, used to unlock the purchased content.

Leaderboards and achievements — Game Center and Google Play Games
If you are signed in to Game Center (iPhone) or Google Play Games (Android), the app reports your level, critters rescued, best streak and achievements to that service so they appear on leaderboards. This is handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, and you can sign out or hide your profile in their settings. The app works fully without signing in.
Children’s privacy (COPPA)
Critter Conga is designed to be enjoyed by all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Players who say they are under 13 get child-directed ad settings and a grown-up check before any purchase or outside link. Parents can also turn on Ask to Buy in Family Sharing and use Screen Time (iPhone), or require purchase approval and set controls with Google Family Link and Google Play parental controls (Android).
Your rights
Because the developer collects nothing directly, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete on the developer’s side. For data held by Google or Apple, use their privacy controls linked above.
Changes to this policy
If this policy materially changes, the updated text will appear here and the “Last updated” date will move forward. Continued use of the app after a change indicates acceptance.
