Alchemica — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
TL;DR
Alchemica is a single-player card game. Anthony Compofelice (the developer) does not run any servers and does not collect any personal information. Your game lives on your device. Two outside companies are involved: Apple, which handles purchases, and Google, which shows ads (unless you buy Remove Ads). Each is covered by its own privacy policy, linked below.
What the developer collects
Nothing. Alchemica has no account system, no analytics, no telemetry and no crash reporter run by the developer. The developer cannot see who is playing, how you play, or what you buy.
Your game data
Alchemica saves your current run (your deck, hand, gold, reagents, scores and round history) and a few preferences (for example, whether you’ve seen the How to Play cards and tips) in storage on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to the developer. Deleting the app deletes it.
The Daily Brew is generated on your device from the date, so every player gets the same challenge without the app contacting any server.
Advertising — Google AdMob
Unless you’ve purchased Remove Ads, Alchemica shows an advertisement after some finished runs. Everyone can also choose to watch a short ad for a free shop reroll; those ads only play when you tap to watch one, including after buying Remove Ads.
Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect information such as your device’s advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking), IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
Your choices:
- Tracking (all regions): Alchemica asks for permission before your advertising identifier can be used. You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Without permission, ads aren’t personalized using that identifier.
- Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland and other regions where required): Alchemica shows Google’s consent form before any ads load. You can change your choices any time with Privacy choices at the bottom of the main menu.
- Apple Advertising: you can also turn off personalized ads from Apple in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

Purchases — Apple StoreKit
In-app purchases (Remove Ads and optional tips) are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer never sees your name, Apple ID or payment details. Apple only tells the app which product was purchased, so it can remove ads or say thanks.

Children’s privacy
Alchemica is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. The app contains in-app purchases and third-party advertising. Parents can use Screen Time and Ask to Buy in Family Sharing to control purchases, and turn off tracking in Settings.
Your rights
Because the developer holds no personal data about you, there is nothing on the developer’s side to access, correct, export or delete. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California’s CCPA/CPRA), you have rights over data held by Google and Apple. You can exercise them through the privacy controls and policies linked above, and limit ad personalization at any time with the choices listed under Advertising.
Changes to this policy
If Alchemica starts handling data differently (for example, if a future update adds iCloud sync or Game Center leaderboards), this page will be updated before that version is released and the “Last updated” date will change.
